About

With over 12 years experience in the design industry, I've worked on in wide variety of industries for very small startups to billion-dollar corporations. Every project is different. From small brochure sites, to large and complex database-driven networks, the area of web design is a fun — and sometimes complicated — process. My career has taken me from the start of the Seattle dot com hotbed to Nashville, Tenn., where I was lucky enough to launch the creative department of Rivals.com, an enormously popular network of college and high school sports websites. Eventually the time was right for Rivals.com to join the web pioneer Yahoo!,Inc. family, which led me to Santa Monica, Calif. where I oversaw various parts of the implementation with Yahoo! Sports.

As Director of Creative Services for Rivals.com, I oversaw the design work of the Creative team on a daily basis. Projects included UX and Visual design for web products, feature article design, logo/branding creation, Flash animation and development, promotional marketing collateral, advertising comps and supplemental materials, and various other items. At times, responsibilities also included raw XHTML, CSS and some front-end scripting such as ActionScript (Flash scripting) and JavaScript.
